Neymar is sent off in the St Germain quartet victory over Bordeaux

Neymar is sent off in the St Germain quartet victory over Bordeaux

Paris Saint-Germain strengthened its lead in the French Premier

League by 13 points after a 4-3 victory over Bordeaux, but the

French champion suffered defensively again and Neymar was

sent off.

Marcinius scored two goals, Edinson Cavani reached his 200th

the goal with the club and Killian Mbappe shook the net, lifting the

capital team to 65 points from 26 games.

But St. Germain lost captain Thiago Silva due to a muscle injury

and his star Neymar received a red card in stoppage time.

Bordeaux, who scored by Huang Oi-gu, Pablo and Robin Pardo,

are 12th with 35 points.

Stade Rennes, third in the standings, also beat Nimes today,

reducing the difference with Olympique Marseille, second, to

eight points.

Five days after losing 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund in the

Champions League first-round goalkeeper, St Germain did not

make the offer sufficient to inspire confidence in his fans.

The players wrote on their shirts a support message to China to

show support for the victims of the Coronavirus, which killed

more than 2,000 people there.

In a violent first half, Silva came out injured in the 16th minute

due to a muscle problem and Idrisa Jay participated in his place.

Huang scored with a header after a corner kick during the

suffering from the Saint-Germain defense in the 18th minute, but

Cavani, the club’s historical top scorer, tied with a header after a

cross from Angel de Maria after seven minutes.

St Germain pressure increased and Cavani fired a shot into the

net before Marquinhos followed a free kick that Di Maria

carried out and changed direction after three minutes of

stoppage for the first half, but Pablo tied after one minute.

Saint-Germain’s performance rose after the break and gave

Marcinius the lead to the French champions after 63 minutes

after a header by Cavani.

Six minutes later, Mbappe consolidated the progress of Saint-

Germain after help from Cavani.

But Bordeaux reduced the difference again with a great shot

from Bardo.

In the last seconds, Mauro Icardi scored a goal that the referee

canceled after resorting to the assistant video referee before

Neymar made a violent mistake in the middle of the field

against Yacine Adly and was sent off.
