Despite the relative calm that characterized the
relationship between Neymar de Silva and his
team, Paris Saint-Germain, in the wake of the
summer transfer period, the tension returned again,
after the Brazilian star refused to attend training
sessions for his team, in protest against his failure
to summon him.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Marca”,
Neymar protested, in his own way, the decision of
the Parisian club’s staff that he should not be called
to some matches on the pretext of resting him.
Neymar showed his anger, after the loss to
Borussia Dortmund for the Champions League,
last Wednesday.
The Parisian squad in that match witnessed the
return of Neymar, after his long absence due to
injury, and although he scored the only goal
against the German team, he did not provide the
expected of him.
“Unfortunately, my absence was not up to me, it
was the choice of the club and the doctors, they
decided that and I did not like their decision,”
Neymar said in a press statement after the match.
“We had a lot of discussions on this topic … I
wanted to play, but the club officials expressed
their fear … In the end, I was aggrieved.”
In February, the 28-year-old Brazilian missed 4
matches due to the fear of his coach, Thomas
Tochel.
As a result, Marca said that Neymar decided not to
participate in the training sessions, saying that “he
needs to rest”, which showed the tension between
the two parties.
