The French coach of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane,
called on the fans to join hands with the royal club and
join him in the El Clásico match today, Sunday,
following a series of disappointing results.
Zinedine Zidane said, before the Clasico match against
Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Sunday
evening, that Real Madrid is living in a defining moment
and it needs the support of the fans.
“But those who know football know that these things can
happen. We need positive support. We do not listen to
what is being said, but we need our fans to be with us
from the first minute to the last,” Zidane added.
He continued, “I understand that people can feel bad, but
we need our fans and we will do everything. Everyone
can criticize and this is what the media does. We have
lost two games and will be criticized. I have already said
that, it is not new. What I have to do. “I have to
continue. I have players, which is the best of it, and we’ll
try to get out of this sensitive moment going forward.”
Commenting on this, Zidane said: “Whenever there is a
bad result, you find something. We did not lose because
Kroos did not play, the others play at their best and
Kroos is a choice.”
For his part, Barcelona poses all kinds of offensive
threats, including those of his star, Lionel Messi.
“We are concerned about what we will do and we will
play against a very good opponent. We know who we
will play against,” he added.
