Months before the summer of a hot waving, the
usual reports reappeared, and more severely this
time. In the custody of several newspapers, most of
them Spanish, Real Madrid will strongly enter the
purchase line of Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah,
and the outcome of the show will be decided by
two things, both of which are subject to the
considerations of the Egyptian pharaoh.
Recently, Spanish reports have confirmed that Real
Madrid will not go ahead with attempts to include
Paris Saint-Germain star, Frenchman Killian
Mbappe, and will instead turn to attempts to annex
Mohamed Salah, as “the cheapest option.”
The former Liverpool star, Jimmy Carragher,
considered that the Reds fans would not oppose a
possible £ 150m (about $ 200m) deal to sell Salah,
given that the huge amount would contribute to
wonderful support for Liverpool’s already over-
starred squad.
But Steve MacManman, the former Liverpool star,
and current sports commentator believe Salah will
reject the grand transfer of two logical captives.
The first of them is that Real Madrid is unable to
guarantee the achievement of major tournaments,
at a time when Liverpool won the Champions
League last season and approached by a huge
percentage to achieve the “Premier League” title.
The other reason, which Salah must be well aware
of in his third season with Liverpool, is that the
Spanish League “La Liga” is now a few steps away
from the English Premier League, which will never
entice Salah to move.
“I see honestly that Salah’s future is in Liverpool,”
says MacManman, who previously moved from
Anfield to Santiago Bernabeu in 1999.
He continued, as quoted by the site “Tim Talk”:
“With regard to this aura surrounding always (the
transfer to) Real Madrid and Barcelona, I think that
the players are always connected to them because
they were considered the best teams in the world
(..) but the best teams are now in the English
Premier League “.
4 or 5 years ago, everyone was saying “Real
Madrid, Real Madrid, and Real Madrid … because
the team was winning everything … and with
Barcelona, the winners of the European
Champions League each year.”
However, to speak to McManman: “The best teams
in Europe are now in England, so I don’t
understand why you need to move to La Liga at the
moment.”
“For me, Salah is currently playing with one of the
best teams in the world. He is a superstar in
Liverpool (…) If I were, I would have stayed in
Liverpool. Don’t you see that Eden Hazard is
fighting at Real Madrid after moving from
Chelsea.”
