Manchester United achieved an important victory over
its neighbor Manchester City, to repeat its victory in the
go, to score the first victory back and forth over its rivals
in the Premier League since the era of coach Alex
Ferguson.
The “Red Devils” won a convincing 2-0 victory over
Manchester City in the Manchester city derby, on
Sunday evening, in the matches of Round 29 of the
Premier League.
United climbed this victory to fifth, leaving Pep
Guardiola’s team 25 points away from leaders Liverpool.
The first goal came after Bruno Fernandez suddenly hit a
free kick, as he passed the ball over City’s defense to
reach Anthony Marcial, who shot just below the keeper
Ederson’s arm.
Scottish substitute Scott Maktumenay secured the three
points in stoppage time, after taking advantage of
Ederson’s mistake to pass in his hand, directing towards
the empty goal from a distance of 25 meters.
The coach Olli Gunnar Solchard’s team did not lose in 10
games in all competitions, and his last two consecutive
league wins were over City in one season in 2009-2010
