French player Killian Mbappe, striker of the Paris Saint-
Germain team, underwent a medical examination on
Tuesday evening, after he was suspected of being
infected with the emerging Coronavirus “Covid-19”, and
his absence from training during the past two days with
his team due to illness.
According to the French newspaper, “L’Equipe”, the
French attacker had conducted medical tests after he was
exposed to a severe cold since Monday to ensure that he
was not infected with the virus that threatens the world
recently, after it spread strongly in the continent of
Europe, especially Italy, the most affected country.
The preliminary tests in the Corona virus test, conducted
by Killian Mbappe, indicated negativity and confirmed
the first diagnosis he had undergone, which was a severe
cold.
The player may be absent from his Paris Saint Germain
match against Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of
the Champions League final price match, on Wednesday
evening, although his team fell into the trap of losing in
the first leg 1-2.
The coach of the French capital team, German Thomas
Tuchel, revealed during a press statement that his French
international player suffers from a sore throat, which
prevented him from participating in the team’s recent
training during the past two days in preparation for the
Borussia Dortmund match behind closed doors.
“Mbappe is going through a bad situation, and he was
feeling this bad situation yesterday and still is today, and
we will try to do a slight exercise with him this
afternoon, in case his temperature drops.”
The Parisian club will not take any decisions until
Wednesday, regarding the possibility of its French star
participating in the important match of Borussia
Dortmund in the Champions League.
