Spanish club Alavis announced on Wednesday, 15
confirmed cases of infection with Corona virus in its
ranks.
The club added that all the injured did not show any
symptoms, after it revealed last Saturday that two of
its technical staff infected with the virus.
The statement said: “There are 15 positive cases. 3 of
them are from the first team in Alaves and 7 are training
personnel.”
He continued: “No one in the basketball team was
infected with the club. There are 5 employees of the club
who infected with the virus.”
Alaves added: “The club decided to undergo tests in
accordance with the responsibility it has towards its
members and all its employees. These tests are the best
way to detect cases and take the necessary precautions to
reduce the spread of the disease in any way possible.”
“Those people whose results were positive did not show
any symptoms,” he said in his statement.
Spain is the second country in Europe most affected by
the Corona virus, after Italy, after announcing 558 deaths
and about 14,000 infections.
