Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos has officially announced
his cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund
(UNICEF) to help stem the spread of the Corona virus
(Covid 19), which has become a global pandemic.
The leader of the “royal team”, along with his teammates,
revealed financial support in order to provide a number
of necessary equipment in hospitals.
“I am an ambassador to UNICEF, and through (the
organization) we have done something to help,” Ramos
reported.
He said that UNICEF is committed to bringing in and
delivering these medical equipment next Friday. “We
have contributed a lot, and everyone is invited to help.”
He pointed out that Real Madrid did what was required
to help its players, during this critical period, “The club
has dealt with the matter in earnest from day one and we
have been sent to isolation in our homes.”
He added that the club then directed his players towards
doing exercises, as well as instructions on eating and
taking a break.
Ramos acknowledged that the ball is a secondary matter,
and the answer to the question of when we will return is
the least important at the moment.
Ramos talked about his daily life in light of the isolation,
saying that his two children are a little annoyed when it
is time to sleep.
