Brazilian football legend Pele once again opened the
door to controversy over the best player in the world,
with comments he made from his home to a YouTube
channel.
The Spanish newspaper “Marca” quoted Pele as saying:
“Today Cristiano Ronaldo is the best in the world,
although Messi should not be forgotten.”
There has long been a debate about the preference
between Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Juventus, and
Argentine Lionel Messi, who plays for Barcelona.
Pele told YouTube channel Billhouse from his home that
Cristiano’s performance was more stable, and Messi was
not a scorer.
Pele recalled the names of players from different periods
who were no less important than Ronaldo and Messi
these days, such as Zico, Ronaldinho or Ronaldo.
