Sony announced the difficult decision to postpone the
release of “The Last of Us Part II” again, due to what it
described as the logistics and the impact of the global
outbreak of Corona Virus.
Game director Neil Druckmann spoke at length about the
reasons behind the delay and pointed out that the
decision of the employees to work from their homes was
very important to the safety of the staff that comes first
and secondly is the commitment to the date of the official
issuance and there was a great forgiveness for the
employees to take the days off and this matter made it
difficult to issue the game with its specified date,
regarding the idea of issuing the game digitally only,
this is difficult because some regions do not have the
infrastructure to download the games, and the team
wants all players to experience the same time.
The development of the game is in the last stage of it,
and there is only the stage of refinement and repair of
problems, and the team does not intend to issue a demo
for the game because the demo needs a lot of work and
the last demo that was testable for the media was an old
version the game was developed a lot after.
