Manchester United legend and historic defender Rio Ferdinand
revealed the difference between Argentine star Lionel Messi
and his former teammate, Brazilian star Ronaldinho.
Ferdinand spoke of his great admiration for Messi, after he
faced him in the Champions League final 2011, which ended
with Barcelona’s 3-1 victory in a match in which Messi scored
a goal.
He said: “Barcelona gave us a lesson at Wembley. They got the
title and they were facing a team that included Ryan Giggs and
Paul Scholes and we were just surprised.
He added: “Messi took complete freedom in that match.
” He also enjoyed watching Ronaldinho on the field.
The Manchester United legend pointed out that “Messi is a
murderer and Ronaldinho is an unnatural magician free by all
accounts, but Messi can do all the things he wants, including
scoring a goal and granting the industry whenever he wants,
ending everything as he wants.”
Since the victory over Manchester United in 2011, Messi has
been unable to crown the Champions League, only once in 2015
when Barcelona won the title at the expense of Juventus.
