Bayern Munich reached an agreement with the young
German striker at Manchester City, Leroy Sani, to move
to the ranks next season.
According to the news, only the German club and the
English Premier League holders have agreed on the
value of the 24-year-old player’s transfer.
And the German media was celebrated, months ago,
with reports of a mutual desire between the German
champions in the past seven seasons and young German
star Leroy Sani to conclude this deal.
And the weekly “Sport Bild” magazine mentioned that
Bayern offered Citi an amount equivalent to 40 million
euros for the services of the German international and
suggested the player a 5-year contract.
It is noteworthy that Sani had moved from the German
team Schalke 04 to Manchester City in 2016, in a deal
valued at 42.5 million euros, according to France Press.
Until not long ago, the value of the transfer of Sani,
who is considered one of the most prominent rising stars
of German football alongside Bayern Munich Serge
Gnabry, was estimated at 100 million euros.
However, Bayern, according to “Bild”, have enough
arguments to explain its low supply, most notably the
new Corona virus outbreak, which will have a negative
impact on the transfer market next summer.
On the other hand, Manchester City seems to be in need
of money to meet the terms of fair financial play,
especially since Sani’s contract with him expires in June
2021, and thus may lose his efforts for free if the
attacker decides not to renew his contract.
Sani suffered a serious knee ligament injury last August,
after which he underwent surgery, and he did not play
any games with the first team for City in 9 months,
which raises doubts about his restoration to the full
technical level that appeared during the 2018/2019
season.
