Italian club Sampdoria announced that 4 of its players were
infected with the new Corona virus, one of them infected
for the second time.
The club added in a statement: “At the moment there are no
symptoms, and they quarantined and monitored
constantly as required by the protocol.”
Fiorentina announced that 3 of its players and the same number
of employees infected with the virus, while Turin said one
of its players had the disease.
On Thursday, the Italian government revealed that it still
testing the medical guidelines of the local football association.
Teams will allow to return to individual exercises next
week while adhering to the limitations of social separation,
and training for the group as a whole can be resumed on May
18, subject to approval of the medical guidelines.
Sampdoria Manolo Gabiadini, Morten Torsby, Albin Ikdal,
Omar Cole and Antonio Lagmina, in addition to team doctor
Amedeo Baldri, infected with the virus last March.
More than 215,000 people infected with the virus
in Italy, and more than 29,000 have died.
