The European Football Association (UEFA) is working hard
to find a suitable date for the resumption of the UEFA
Champions League, while the president of one of the competing
clubs indicates that a specific date chosen to complete
the largest European championship.
The French President of Lyon, Jean-Michel Olas, who has
a strong relationship with officials at the UEFA said that his
team will play the second leg of the round of 16, against
Juventus, on August 7.
Olas told RTL: “Our match against Juventus will take place
on August 7, for sure, and it will take place in Turin without
the audience attending.”
Reported that Olas submitted a formal objection to the
French League, after the decision to end the league and grant
the title to Paris Saint-Germain, noting that the failure to
complete the league will affect his team’s willingness to
participate in the Champions League.
Olas said: “If our legal attempts to resume the French League
did not succeed, we would witness a globe” massacre “by
European teams for Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain in the
Champions League because they (non-French teams) were
ready to play.”
According to Olas’ statements, the date of the summit match
between Real Madrid and Manchester City will be on the same
day, August 7, because the confrontation placed at
the same time as the Lyon and Juventus match in the first leg.
And remain in the Champions League 4 matches suspended
in the round of 16, to determine after the remaining 8
to contest the quarter-finals.
Reported that Lyon managed to beat Juventus 1-0 in France
before the championship suspended, and he had to tie
