The President of the French Football Federation, Noel Le Great,
announced on Friday that the final game of the French Cup
competition may held with the possibility of allowing
a limited number of spectators to enter the stadium.
“This is what we will ask,” Le Gret told France Press. “It is my
wish anyway. We are in contact with the government. They may
allow us to discuss the presence of a limited number (of fans)
either at the beginning of next season, or in the cup matches.” .
The League League announced at the end of April to follow
government orders, and activate the final suspension of the
first-season season 10 stages before its end due to the new
Corona virus, adopting an arrangement through which Paris
Saint-Germain crowned the title, and deprived Lyon of
qualification to the continental competitions, and the decline of
Toulouse and Amiens to the degree Second, the rise of Lorient
Lawless.
However, hoped that the final of the Cup competition,
which postponed last April, will be organized in August,
before the start of the next season at the end of the same month.
Paris Saint-Germain scheduled to play with Saint-Etienne in
the cup final, and with Lyon in the League Cup final, at the
Stade de France stadium in the suburb of the capital, which has
a capacity of about 80 thousand spectators.
On the other hand, Le Greet denied the suggestions that it is still
possible to resume the championship competitions this season, a
topic that discussed a lot in France with the neighboring
countries beginning to resume the competitions. “We are
following the government’s directives. There is no place for
discussion,” he said, preferring to wait for the 2020-2021
season.
“Our players will better prepare and perhaps better than the
rest, we will see (…) In any case, I have never questioned the
decisions taken by the government. The priority is health rather
than money.”
