Arsenal lost in the last moments 2-1 to host threatening
host Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier
League, Saturday, to the London club’s efforts to qualify
for the European Championships next season suffered
a setback.
Frenchman Neel Mobaye scored the winning goal in
the fifth minute of stoppage time after Nicolas Bebe
Arsenal came in front with a beautiful goal in the second
half before Brighton equalized through Lewisdink.
With this result, Arsenal are in ninth with 40 points from
30 games, 6 points behind fifth-placed Manchester
United.
The result came 3 days after coach Michael Artita’s
3-0 loss to Manchester City with the Premier League
resuming after a 3-month hiatus due to the Corona virus
crisis.
Brighton are 15th with 32 points, five ahead of
Bournemouth, the first team in the relegation zone
to have an extra match left.
In another match, defender Craig Dawson scored in
injury time to give his team Watford a 1-1 draw at home
to Leicester City and a valuable point in his quest to
survive the relegation from the English Premier League.
Watford advanced to 16th with 28 points, while Leicester
remained third, ahead of Chelsea, who were next in
the standings.
