Barcelona surpassed the effects of a difficult week with
a landslide 4-1 victory over its host Villarreal to remain in the
La Liga title race, and made one of its best performances under
coach Kiki Sittin.
The Catalan team tied in the last two league games to lead the
way to its traditional rivals Real Madrid, but winning a match
on Sunday raised its score to 73 points from 34 games, 4 points
behind the team of coach Zidane El-Din Zidane, who defeated
Athletic Bilbao earlier.
And put a reverse goal scored by Pau Torres Barcelona in the
third minute, and Gerard Moreno equalized the score in favor
of Villarreal in the 14th minute before the visiting team regained
its superiority with a wonderful goal scored by Luis Suarez
after another 6 minutes.
Antoine Griezmann consolidated Barcelona’s lead just before
the end of the first half, after being excluded from the starting
line-up in the last two games, Anso Fati (17), added a fourth
goal in the second half with a low shot.
