Liverpool have regained their place in the English Premier
League and returned to the winning streak, after a major defeat
against Manchester City a few days ago.
Liverpool narrowly beat Aston Villa, 2-0, in round 33 of
the Premier League matches.
In spite of the deterioration of the results of Aston Villa
recently, which did not win since last January, the “Reds”
suffered in front of it and failed to create real opportunities.
Liverpool’s goal was delayed until the 71st minute, when
Senegalese Sadio Mane scored the goal, before young Curtis
Jones clinched the goal with a second goal in the last minute,
with a header from the Egyptian Mohamed Salah.
In his 29th victory, Liverpool reached point 89, and 4 more
victories to break the record in points and wins in one season.
“The Reds” won all the matches he played at home this season,
and he left two matches against Burnley and Chelsea to achieve
the “perfect score” at Anfield, another number unprecedented.
Since winning the title last week, Liverpool have not lived up
to the standard throughout the season, losing by four in front
of Manchester City, and then appeared very dull Sunday
against Aston Villa.
