In his own way, and for the nerves he has always been known
for, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has successfully
executed two penalties, for Serie A leaders Juventus 2-2 with
Atalanta, Saturday, and is close to his ninth title in a row.
The two kicks were counted after touching two hands, and
the second was in the last minute, so that the “old lady” team
could return at the time of the killer.
Juventus lead eight points to second-placed Lazio 6 rounds from
the end, and nine points to Atalanta third.
Dovan Zapata gave the visitors the lead in the 16th minute,
but Ronaldo equalized 10 minutes into the second half, after
a handball against Martin de Ron.
Ruslan Malinowski restored the lead to Atlanta with a brilliant
goal in the 81st minute, before Ronaldo equalized for the second
time after Luis Morrell touched the ball with his hand,
depriving the visitors of achieving their tenth consecutive
victory in the league.
