Bournemouth is moving towards a return to the first degree,
after 5 consecutive seasons among the adults, by losing, on
Sunday, at home to Southampton 0-2 in the thirty-seventh
stage before the last of the Premier League “Premier League”.
Bournemouth entered the game against the backdrop of an
orphan’s victory in the past 11 games, it was against Leicester
City IV (4-1) in the thirty-fifth stage, which made him lie in
eighteenth place, 3 points behind the safety zone.
By losing to Southampton, Bournemouth fell to 19th, with
a goal difference behind Aston Villa, and 3 points from
17th Watford, who play Tuesday against Manchester City,
runners-up and champions of the past two seasons.
Southampton owes its first victory after 3 consecutive draws,
to Danny Ings, who scored the first goal in the 41st minute
before he missed the opportunity to add a second penalty kick
in the 59th minute that would have boosted him and his net
to score the league’s top scorer.
Alternative Che Adams added the second goal in the eighth
minute of stoppage time, seconds after canceling the equalizer
for Bournemouth after invoking the assistant video rule “Alvar”.
And after Norwich City were the first to go to the top division,
Aston Villa also appears in a similar position to Bournemouth,
unless he succeeded in beating his host Arsenal on Tuesday.
Bournemouth ends next season at Everton, while Watford plays
with Arsenal and Aston Villa with West Ham United.
