Although many players consider Silent Hill 2 as one of the best
psychological horror games, but this was not the case with
Japanese fans, according to Masahiro Ito’s character designer talk.
Through tweeting his Twitter account, Masahiro Ito indicated
that the game with its release in 2001 was not achieving good
sales in Japan and the majority of opinions were negative about
the game, but he is grateful for the presence of other fans who
still remember the game and love it until now, rumors indicate
that Masahiro Ito is working on a new project for the game
in cooperation with Sony Japanese Studios:
