Veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored two goals in the first
half to give Milan a 2-1 victory over 10 Sassuolo players,
on Tuesday, and his record remains unbeaten since the
resumption of the season, and guarantees qualification for
the European League.
The 38-year-old Swedish striker surpassed his watchman
to score with a header from Hakan Chalanoglu’s cross pass
in the 19th minute, then received a pass in the middle of
the defense before dodging goalkeeper Andrea Konseli to
add the second goal in stoppage time in the first half.
Among the goals of Ibrahimovic, Francesco Kabuto equalized
the result from a penalty kick in favor of Sassuolo, who sent
Mehdi Bourbiah at the end of the first half.
Milan advanced to fifth place with 59 points, to ensure that they
play in the preliminary rounds at least in the European League
next season.
