Trezeguet scored the winning goal in the 27th minute and was
sufficient to advance Villa in the table on Watford, by goal
difference, after the overwhelming loss of his opponent to
escape from relegation to Manchester City earlier in the day.

Villa took advantage of the opportunity to move away from
the last three positions for the first time since last February.
