There aren’t many games I wouldn’t hesitate to legend, and
Chrono Trigger is one of those games. Chrono Trigger was first
released in 1995 on the Super Nintendo, nearly 25 years ago,
and has become one of the best role-playing games in history.
Employees of Square Soft at the time and Enix (before the
merger) worked on this game in a project in which the
development team behind it was described as a dream team,
as it included names such as Yuji Hori, the Dragon Father of
the Dragon Quest series, Hernobu Sakaguchi, the spiritual
father of the Final Fantasy series, Yoshinori Kitas, Masato Kato,
Akira Toriyama, Yasunori Mitsuda, Nobu Wimatsu, Takashi Tokita, and others.
How could a game that all of these be worked on be? Certainly,
one of the masterpieces of role-playing games that came out of
Japan to this day, and is still the best in the eyes of many: a
wonderful and interesting story that deals with the transition
between the past and the present, an addictive and fast combat
system without random confrontations, charming music, and
ritual Integrated and genius makes the game free from any
boredom. Chrono Trigger was and still is a great game, and
it will stay great for years and years!
