English Premier League champions Liverpool revealed on
Saturday that their new shirt will be worn from next season.
The club’s official website has released photos of a group of its
players with the shirt produced by Nike, the new supplier to
Liverpool, after the end of its contract with “New Balance”.
The shirt is the first in Nike’s club history, and the company
added a blue-water line to the collar and sleeves, and two white
stripes on both sides.
The contract between Liverpool and “Nike” entered into force
on August 1, and will continue for a period of 5 years, after a
long-running legal dispute last year for financial reasons.
The club will receive about 30 million pounds a year from
“Nike”, in exchange for wearing the new shirts, knowing that it
will receive 20 percent of the clothing sales, which could double
that amount.
