Real Madrid’s striker, Dominican Mariano Diaz, has recovered
from an emerging coronavirus, but his recovery came too late
for the Champions League.
The club striker, “Royal” had confirmed his infection with the
Corona virus, on 27 July last, during tests conducted by his
team before returning to the preparations of the Champions League.
Based on the injury report, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane
did not include the player on the list of participating in the
Champions League, as the Spanish team resumed its
participation in the tournament with a fateful meeting against
Manchester City on Friday evening.
The Spanish newspaper “AS” said that the new result of Diaz
was negative, after his 11-day home quarantine period.
Mariano Diaz participated during the current season with Real
Madrid in only 7 games in all tournaments, with a total of only
84 minutes played, with 5 matches in the Spanish League and
two matches in the Spanish Super Cup, and scored a single goal
in the “La Liga” was against Barcelona during the Clasico
match. The 26th round was held, and ended with the victory
of the Spanish capital club, with two goals without response.
