Flick: “Luck” and “Amazing” saved Bayern Munich

Flick: “Luck” and “Amazing” saved Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich coach, Hans Flick, considered that his team

needed a little luck, as well as the brilliance of star Serge

Gnabry to survive the pressure of early Olympique Lyonnais,

and booked his place in the Champions League final after his

3-0 victory, Wednesday.

Gnabry scored two goals in the first half, before Robert

Lewandowski added the third goal two minutes before the end,

but Bayern survived the early pressure of the French team,

who shot at the post and almost advanced at the beginning.

“It was a tough match and we knew it was going to be like this,”

Hans Flick told the post-match conference. Lyon gave a great

performance and put pressure on us but we managed to survive

with a little luck, especially at the beginning.

Gnabry scored in the 18th and 33rd minutes to put the German

team ahead, but his performance was much lower than his 8-2

win over Barcelona last Friday.

Flick said, “Serge’s solo performance has relieved our nerves.

The goal of progress 1 – Zefarkan is amazing. His last touch

after his breakthrough was amazing.”

“His development over recent years has been remarkable, and

you can see that he is close to reaching the highest level,” Flick

added of the German international, who scored 9 goals in 9

matches in the tournament this season.

Bayern Munich will play Paris Saint-Germain, who beat

Rasenbal Sport Leipzig 3-0, in the final on Sunday, and he will

have to improve his defensive performance.

Flick, whose team has not lost a match in all competitions in

2020, said, “It is clear that we have not defended as well as

usual,” we are now focusing on Paris Saint-Germain, we want to

give everything we have. I don’t think Lyon’s attacking

performance is much worse than St. Germain’s. (Leon) was

ambitious in the attack. ”

“We lost possession of the ball, which prevented us from doing

anything. Now we will rest and on Sunday we will try to win

the title with another strong performance …”
