The England national team has excluded two young stars from
the European Nations League squad, after a moral and health scandal.
The coaching staff of the English national team excluded
the two rising stars, Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood, after
discovering that they had summoned girls to their hotel room in
Iceland, in violation of the disciplinary and health laws of the team.
It is noteworthy that the Manchester City star Foden and
Manchester United Greenwood star called up to the
English national team for the first time, to play the Icelandic
match, in which England won 1-0 before they excluded
before the next match in Denmark.
The English national team apologized to the Nations League
teams, for violating the isolation laws for the teams, which could
expose the team and the opponent alike to the risk of infection
with the emerging Coronavirus.
Foden and Greenwood apologized for the “wrong decisions”
they had made, stressing that they “learned a real lesson for the
future,” according to Sky Sports.
Leaked videos from the accounts of girls, on the Snapchat
application, showed a video of them with the stars of the
English national team, in their private rooms in Iceland, before
traveling to Denmark.
It is noteworthy that Foden and Greenwood considered one
of the best emerging talents in England, after presenting an
exceptional season with their teams in the Premier League.
Both players played their first international match with the
“Three Lions” team against Iceland, on Saturday, before being
suspended before the match against Denmark in Copenhagen
on Tuesday.
