Liverpool a few steps away from strengthening their attacking
streak by hiring Portuguese winger Diogo Jota, who will
compete with the two stars of Liverpool, Egyptian Mohamed
Salah and Senegalese Sadio Mane, for a position in the starting
line-up this season.
According to British sources, Liverpool came close to settling
the contract with Jota, 23, from Wolverhampton, England,
for nearly 50 million euros.
Jota characterized by speed and skill and is similar to his
playing style with Salah and Mane, and he expected to
develop a lot under the leadership of German coach Jürgen Klopp.
Jota prefers to play on the left side, which is Mane’s favorite
side, but he can also play on the right, or even place Brazilian
Roberto Firmino in the position of the late striker.
Klopp expected to rely on the rotation system, due to the
pressured season, which means that Liverpool fans may see
Jota competes with Salah and Mane in the offensive line.
It is noteworthy that the Portuguese international, Jota, scored
44 goals in all tournaments, with Wolverhampton, during the
past three seasons that he fought with him.
