Leeds United’s Patrick Bamford scored a wonderful hat-trick
to stop Aston Villa’s victories by beating him 3-0 in the
Premier League, Friday.
After a fun first half devoid of goals, Jack Grealish came close
to opening the scoring for Aston Villa in the 52nd minute,
but his shot was saved by the Leeds goalkeeper.
Aston Villa found himself three minutes late after Bamford
rebounded into the net.
Bamford doubled the lead with a superb shot from the edge of
the area in the 67th minute, then the Leeds striker completed his
hat-trick in the 74th minute, recording his first hat-trick in
the Premier League.
With this victory, Leeds advanced to third place with 10 points
from 6 games, two points behind Aston Villa, who played
5 games, while Everton, the leaders, with 13 points, plays
at Southampton on Sunday.
