Aston Villa are back on the road to victories after Oli Watkins
scored twice in the 3-0 away win over Arsenal in the Premier
League football league.
Villa scored a goal before the first minute passed by John
McGinn, but the referee canceled it for offside the presence of
another player on the way to see goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
But Arsenal’s Bocayo Saka scored an own goal by mistake after
he was pressured by Mahmoud Hassan (Trezeguet) from close
range in the 25th minute.
Aston Villa continued to lead in the second half thanks to Jack
Grillish’s control of the midfield, and it was not surprising that
Watkins added the second goal in the 72nd minute.
Watkins added the third goal three minutes later after a swift
counterattack and a superb pass from Greelish.
Aston Villa’s perfect start was halted after losing two consecutive games,
but he has now advanced to sixth place with 15 points from
eight matches, and Arsenal slipped to 11th place with 12 points,
winning four times and losing in four games.
