Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman confirmed that the Catalan
club is always the best in the presence of Argentine star Lionel
Messi, adding that Antoine Griezmann’s brilliance depends on him.
Coman talked about Messi’s condition, during an interview with
the Catalan newspapers, saying: “When I arrived, they told me
that Messi was sad. But the things that were related to the club,
I could not change. ”
The Dutch coach added, “Messi showed me a personality that
wants to win things and be the best and continue to be the best,
despite his problems with the club, and currently Barcelona was,
is and will be better in Messi’s presence than in his absence.”
As for the performance of French star Antoine Griezmann,
Koeman said: “He trains well, but he himself said that his
performance needs improvement. Sometimes the players face
moments of uncertainty and we can help them search for the best,
but in the end it depends on the player himself.”
Coman talked about the injury of Ansu Fati, saying: “A strong
blow and we will miss the services of a great player on the
wings and the possibility of his participation as number 9, and
he has proven that he is performing well.”
On Barcelona’s deals, Koeman replied: “We always talk with
Ramon Blance about the club’s future, what we can contract
with and which center we need to support more.”
Coman concluded his talk about the possible deals for Barca in
the upcoming transfer market, saying: “We know that the
current economic situation of the club does not allow us to ask
for much, and I have said many times what we need, and if there
is a possibility to implement it or try to search for deals.”
