Most people addicted to holding on to their smartphones all
day long and even before they go to sleep, without realizing that
this habit seriously affects their health and may increase their
susceptibility to depression.
According to a recent Australian study, reducing the use of a
smartphone and staring at the screen would help you sleep better
at night, as well as prevent depression.
Researchers from Western Sydney University confirmed that
observing diet and doing physical activities also help protect
health from mental disorder.
The study included huge data of nearly 85 thousand people,
through the British “Biobank”, which has been conducting
health research for many years.
The researchers found a close relationship between the three
mentioned factors, namely telephone, physical activity and diet,
and between the incidence of depression.
The study stated that this prone to depression observed in
people who already suffer from depression, along with people
who were in a healthy state.
The study reported that what known earlier is that something
like exercise is beneficial by improving mood, but what has
been shown, recently, is that it prevents depression.
Health experts say that the harms of watching more phones and
devices not limited to depression, but rather lead to other
organic disorders.
And the expert directives warn of the reflection of staring at
screens on the health of the eyes, especially since people work
all day in front of the devices.
As for the entertainment that has become available in our time,
it encourages staying up for a longer period, which also means
eating more food as a result of feeling hungry, without making
the required physical effort.
