On Saturday, Italian league leaders Milan announced that its coach,
Stefano Pioli, infected with the new Coronavirus, which causes “Covid-19”.
Milan said that Bioli (55 years) did not show any symptoms, and
that he is undergoing health isolation at home, while the team’s
training that was scheduled for Saturday canceled.
The club said, “All the tests that the team members and technical
staff underwent were negative.”
“The team’s training before the Napoli match will resume on Monday,
based on the procedures set by the Italian Football Association,” he added.
And absent from the Milan squad, a number of players due to their
presence with their national teams during the current international holiday.
Several Milan players have already contracted and recovered from
the fast-spreading virus, including goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma
and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Milan, who has not lost this season, is the only one ahead of the
Italian League with 17 points from 7 matches and will meet
Napoli on November 22.
