Juventus qualified for the round of 16 in the Champions League,
after being led by a goal from Cristiano Ronaldo and a header from
substitute Alvaro Morata to a 2-1 victory over Hungarian Francois, Tuesday.
With this result, Juventus ranks second in Group G with 9 points
from 4 games, 3 points behind leaders Barcelona, who also moved up
to the knockout rounds after beating Dynamo Kyiv 4-0.
France and Dynamo each have one point and will compete to
qualify for the European League.
The Hungarian team took a surprising lead in the 19th minute
through Merto Ozone, before Ronaldo equalized in the 35th
minute with a good left-foot shot from 20 meters after a goal
was canceled for offside.
Juventus hit the goal twice in the second half before Morata’s
header in the final minutes slipped under French goalkeeper
Denis Debuchs past the goal line after a good cross from the
right through Juan Cuadrado.
