The Spanish club Barcelona announced, on Sunday, that its French striker Osman Dembele
injured by a stretch in the posterior muscle of the right thigh, without revealing the period
of his absence from the stadium.
“France Press” quoted the Catalan club: “The tests that Othman Dembele underwent confirmed
that he had a muscle extension in the posterior muscle of the right thigh. The stretch is weak and
his return to the stadiums will determine according to the development of the injury.”
Dembele was the world champion in the ranks of his country in the 2018 World Cup, scoring 4 goals
in 12 games this season, including a valuable goal against Juventus (2-0) in the European Champions League.
Dembele injured during the match in which he participated as a reserve at the beginning of the second half,
and his team lost it 1-2 in the Spanish League on Saturday.
Dembele has always suffered repeated injuries in his career and played only 9 matches for Barcelona last season,
where he injured twice and underwent surgery due to a muscle tear in his thigh.
