Liverpool suffered a new blow, represented by the injury of its Portuguese star Diogo Jota, who was in remarkable brilliance recently.
Liverpool coach Juergen Klopp said on Sunday that winger Diogo Jota could be out of action for two months due to a knee injury.
Jota was injured during the match, in which Liverpool drew 1-0 with Midteland in the Champions League, last Wednesday.
“The injury got worse than we first thought and better than we thought afterward,” Klopp said. “All potential surgeons took a look at him, there is no need for surgery.”
He added, “But he will be absent for a while. We do not know exactly except that it may be a month and a half, or two months.”
Klopp said left-back Kostas Tsimikas would also be absent after an injury he suffered in front of Midtland.
