Barcelona have finally made themselves strong in the middle of a chaotic season, turning their
comeback into a 2-1 victory over leaders Real Sociedad in the Spanish Premier League.
Brazilian striker Willian Jose gave the visitors the lead with a shot from close range in the 27th minute,
but Barcelona quickly recovered and equalized four minutes later with a powerful shot from Jordi Alba
with his weaker right foot.
The Catalan team advanced before the end of the first half when Frenkie de Jong entered the penalty area,
diverting Jordi Alba’s cross pass to the net and the goal was canceled at the beginning for offside, but the video
assistant referee system confirmed its authenticity.
Real Sociedad missed David Silva’s efforts and goal-scorer Mikel Uyarzabal and did not take advantage of many
chances to equalize, such as Alexandre Issac had won before Pedri interfered, then goalkeeper
Marc-Andre Ter Stegen blocked the ball from close range.
