Liverpool legend John Aldridge confirmed, on Wednesday, that the interest of clubs like Real Madrid
and others in Mohamed Salah is normal, indicating at the same time that the egyption should hate Real Madrid
instead of caring for him.
The retired star was quoted by the Liverpool Echo newspaper as saying: “If you are at the level of Mohamed Salah,
your name must be associated with Barcelona and Real Madrid. This is how football is.”
He explained, “Personally, if I were his place and the semi-finals of the Champions League and the way
Sergio Ramos dealt with me, I would have hated Real Madrid, but I would have wanted to leave Liverpool.”
And he continued: “Liverpool has the best trio in the world on the offensive line, without mentioning the rest
of the names in other clubs, I will not substitute Salah, Mane or Firmino for any other player.”
It is noteworthy that Salah raised speculation about the possibility of his departure from his team, Liverpool,
after a lengthy dialogue, he had recently with the Spanish newspaper “AS”.
Salah said: “Real Madrid and Barcelona are great teams. We never know what will happen in the future.”
Mohamed Salah, 28, who is currently the top scorer in the English Premier League with 13 goals, is linked
to a contract with Liverpool until the end of June 2023.
