Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus among a number of players, the English Premier League
decided to postpone the Manchester City and Everton match in the local league competitions.
Everton scheduled to host his opponent, Manchester City, in a late match on Monday evening,
but the outbreak of the Coronavirus among a number of Manchester City players led to the postponement
of the match.
The “Citizens” club had announced the injury of its Brazilian stars, Gabriel Jesus and English Kyle Walker,
a few days ago, but more players found to have had injuries later.
Manchester City said in a statement: “After the last round of tests for the Coronavirus, the club revealed
a number of new infections among the players.”
He added, “After consulting with the League, we decided with Everton to postpone the match.”
This is the second match to postponed in the league due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus after
the Newcastle United and Aston Villa match postponed weeks ago.
