Real Madrid beat their brilliant Celta Vigo 2-0 in the recent period, thanks to a goal and a decisive pass
by Lucas Vásquez and Marco Asensio, to beat his rivals Atletico Madrid in the top of the Spanish Premier League.
With this victory, the defending champions raised their score to 36 points, one point ahead of Atletico,
who have three matches left and will visit Alaves on Sunday.
Real wanted to recover from a surprise 1-1 draw with struggling Eibar in the last game and had a perfect start
when Vázquez rose between two Celta defenders to head up Asensio’s cross pass and diverted it into the net.
Vázquez returned the gift early in the second half to help his Spaniard score after snatching a ball in the Celta
half to secure Zinedine Zidane’s side a victory and end Celta’s unbeaten streak in six matches under his new coach,
Eduardo Codette.
