Media revealed what happened between the two stars Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku in the Milan derby
in the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup, which ended with Inter Milan’s 2-1 victory over AC Milan.
The quarrel between Ibrahimovic and Lukaku began before the end of the first half, inside the Milan penalty area,
when a “war of words” broke out between the players.
And the referee failed to control the situation, and matters escalated rapidly between the players, according to
the British newspaper “Daily Star”.
The Italian “RAI” channel and the “Toto Mercato Web” website revealed what happened between the players
during the “clash”, as Lukaku told Ibrahimovic: “Stop laughing at me.”
The Swedish star responded to Lukaku, saying, “Go and do sorcery, little donkey,” referring to what happened
in January 2018 when the former Everton player refused a contract due to a “juggling letter”.
At the time, according to the “VJ” sports website, Farhad Moshiri, the former Everton owner, said that Lukaku,
during the meeting with officials from the English club, called his mother and said that he had received a juggling
message to move to Chelsea, but he eventually joined Manchester United.
Ibrahimovic’s words sparked Lukaku’s anger, who responded by saying: “Damn you and your wife … Are you
talking about my mother ?!”
After the confrontation between Lukaku and Ibrahimovic, the referee decided to direct a yellow card to each of them,
and the Swedish player was expelled later in the second half for obtaining a second yellow card.
