Manchester City announces “bombshell deal”
English Manchester City club announced on Tuesday that Norwegian top scorer “Erling Haaland ”
from Borussia Dortmund is joined.
The Premier League leaders said in a statement that they could confirm an agreement with
their German counterparts to Haaland’s move, starting from the first of next July. .
Manchester City added:
“The deal will be settled once the club has reached a final agreement with the player on the terms of the contract.”
City did not give financial details of the deal, but German media reported that
the total cost of buying Haaland in a multi-year contract could exceed 300 million euros,
including his salary, agent fees and bonuses.
The 21-year-old Norway striker’s value has risen considerably,
thanks to his impressive form with Dortmund after joining from Salzburg, Austria, two years ago.
Haaland scored 41 goals in all competitions last season.
Haaland, whose father, Alf Inghe, played for Manchester City from 2000 to 2003,
has emerged remarkably since moving to Dortmund, scoring 85 goals in 88 Match with the German team.
