“Dying Light” Developers Working on AAA Open World
Techland’s studio, which recently introduced us to survival and parkour game Dying Light 2,
seems to be working on the AAA Class I Open World fantasy project.
This what they discovered through a new job announcement issued by the developer,
which seeks to bring more developers into the studio, where the following announcement read:
Are you ready to start a new and exciting journey with Techland? We employ RPG game and open world unannounced AAA rating in a fantasy environment!
So The studio currently has approximately 70 positions across disciplines including specialists in animation,
art, design, development and production.
In addition the new announcement includes the position of creative director who will be responsible for
defining a clear and creative vision of the game and laying the foundations of the game in several important
directions such as, meaning, experience, context, player imagination, the world, etc.
However the team responsible for the new IP address includes a number of former CD Project Red staff
including the Open World Director of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Bartosh Ukhmann,
the narrative director of the same games Carolina Statchera, and narrative leader Arcadius Borowick
The latest game of the Tech Land Studio, Dying Light 2, was released on February 4 on computers and home toys,
and five million copies were sold during the month of its launch, according to the latest statistics shared
with us by the developer.
The developer also said last April that the original Dying Light sold more than 20 million copies.
The game recently received a new generation update to improve performance on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S devices.
