In a press conference, Polish striker Robert Lewandowski announced the end of his experience
with Bayern Munich, after 8 seasons with the Bavarian giant.
While he was in the camp of his country’s national team, Poland, Lewandowski “blew up” hostile
statements against Bayern Munich, in a press conference, ending any doubts about his continuation
with the team.
Lewandowski said on Monday afternoon: “My era with Bayern Munich is over. I don’t see any chance
for me to continue playing for this club.”
Then he added: “Bayern Munich is a serious team and I think they will not keep me with my desire to leave.
I do not want to play there again. Moving is the best solution now. I hope they will not prevent me from moving.”
Bayern Munich fans were surprised by Lewandowski’s “aggressive” statements towards the team, who
wore his shirt for 8 full seasons, and won with him all local, continental and individual titles.
Lewandowski’s contract expires in the summer of 2023, and he has one last season at Bayern Munich,
but the veteran striker expressed his desire to move this summer.
