Ronaldo and Messi in one team ? .. A Portuguese journalist sets off a surprise
The question of the future of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo with Manchester United
continues to raise questions amid reports of possible destinations for the “Madeira missile”.
The rumor that Ronaldo joined the Argentine star Lionel Messi in the ranks of Paris Saint-
Germain, reappeared strongly after an important statement from the Portuguese journalist
Pedro Almeida.
And the Spanish newspaper “Marca” quoted Almeida as saying that the new sports advisor
for Saint-Germain, Luis Campos, contacted Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, to discuss the
possibility of including the legendary Portuguese player in the ranks of the Parisian club.
Almeida said: “There are indications that Ronaldo is about to leave United, as his name was
not included in the final list of the Red Devils who will face Liverpool in Thailand in a friendly match.”
The Portuguese journalist added: “Ronaldo did not attend the first training day for
Manchester United last Monday.”
And it was reported last week that Ronaldo informed his team’s management of his
desire to leave this summer, which United initially refused, especially since his contract
is still valid.
But it seems that the English club officials finally acquiesced to the fait accompli and
agreed to the departure of the “Don”, according to what Portuguese journalist Bruno
Andrade revealed.
Andrade said on his official Twitter account: “Manchester United have accepted the
pressure (from Ronaldo) and are ready to sell.”
And he indicated that: “The team management wants about 15 million euros (or 13 million pounds)
to open the door to negotiations with interested clubs.”
Ronaldo will look for a new team after suffering a “disastrous season” without titles with
Manchester United, where he finished sixth in the English Premier League, which means
he will not participate in the Champions League next season.
