Mane leads Bayern Munich to the German Super .. and a message to Lewandowski
Bayern Munich did not suffer much by scoring goals, in its first
official match after the departure of Europe’s top scorer Robert Lewandowski
from its ranks, while other stars of the team, including Senegalese Sadio Mane, starred.
Bayern Munich began its new era on Saturday without its Polish top scorer
Robert Lewandowski, winning the German Super Cup for the third
consecutive season, defeating Leipzig 5-3, including a goal by his
Senegalese newcomer, Sadio Mane.
And it took turns to score a five-pointer for Bayern Munich Jamal Musila (14),
Mane (31), Frenchman Benjamin Bavard (45), Serge Gnabry (66) and
Leroy Sani (98), while Marcel Halstenberg (59) and French Christopher Nkunku
(77 from Penalty kick), and the Spaniard Daniel Olmo (89) Leipzig goals.
It is the first official match for the Bavarian club since the departure of its star
Lewandowski to Barcelona, and his contract with Mane from Liverpool.
Before Saturday’s goal, Mane, who scored 120 goals for Liverpool, scored in
the two preparatory matches for the Bavarian club for the new season.
Bayern Munich did not show any signs of suffering in the offensive part,
and scored five full goals, in a match that the German press considered a
“message” for Lewandowski, that things would be “okay”.
