Mohamed Salah returns early to Liverpool .. Two things make Klopp happy
The Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, quickly returned to the ranks of Liverpool,
shortening his participation with the Pharaohs.
Mohamed Salah was scheduled to participate with the Pharaohs in the friendly
confrontation with Liberia, on Tuesday, but coach Roy Vitoria decided to rest
the star and allow him to return to his club, Liverpool.
Today, the Egyptians are waiting for their team’s match with Liberia in Alexandria,
scheduled for ten in the evening local time.
On Friday, Mohamed Salah led Egypt to a 3-0 victory over Niger, in the first appearance
of the new Portuguese coach, Vitoria.
Salah scored a double in the 43rd and 67th minutes, while French Nantes striker
Mustafa Mohamed scored the third goal in the 55th minute.
These two matches are part of Egypt’s preparations for the qualifiers for
the African Nations Championship, which will be hosted by Ivory Coast in 2023.
The match against Niger was Salah’s return to the Egyptian national team
in international friendly matches, after an absence of nearly 3 years.
Goals in the net and the club
The Niger match against Salah provided an opportunity to reduce the difference
with Hossam Hassan, who is being chased by Salah in order to obtain the title
of historical scorer for the Pharaohs.
Salah has scored 47 goals in 84 international matches, while Hossam Hassan
scored 69 goals in 178 matches.
And the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, wrote that Liverpool received a strong
boost with Salah’s quick return to his ranks.
Salah’s return to England comes as the Premier League resumes there.
Liverpool will face Brighton on Saturday, October 1, in the ninth stage of the Premier League.
Liverpool is suffering from a faltering start to the current season, and is currently
ranked eighth, with only two wins.
For its part, the British newspaper, “Mirror”, said that the coach of the “Reds”,
Jurgen Klopp, received help after the decision of the Egyptian team to return
Salah to the club before the scheduled date.
The newspaper added that Salah showed in the face of Niger a return to his best
after a decline at the beginning of the league.
She said that Salah’s performance in the friendly match and his quick return will
make the German coach very happy, especially as it comes before a crowded
schedule of local confrontations.
