Since joining Liverpool in the summer of 2017, Egyptian Mohamed Salah has become one of the phenomena of the English Premier League, with very high goals and several records in a relatively short period.
And the latest statistics indicating Salah’s superiority, not only in the English Premier League but also in the major European leagues and among the best players in the world, is related to the number of goals scored inside the home.
A statistic revealed to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), that “the Egyptian king” is ranked second in terms of the number of goals scored by a player on his team’s land in the five major leagues, in the period since the summer of 2017 until now, after his last two goals in the Southampton goal.
Salah scored 44 goals at “Anfield” during the mentioned period, to share the second place with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
“Mo” and “Liva” come after Barcelona legend Lionel Messi, who scored 51 goals in the stronghold of the Catalan team, but they surpass Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 42 goals in “Santiago Bernabeu” when he was playing for Real Madrid, then in “Juventus Stadium” with The Italian giant.
Salah scored 14 goals this season from the English Premier League, ranking third in the competition’s scorers list, in partnership with Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Danny Ings of Southampton and Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.
But the Egyptian player remains more than scored on his court this season, too, with 12 goals.
Liverpool is close to settling for the Premier League title, absent 30 years ago, away from defending champions Manchester City with 22 points, after 25 stages of the competition.
