Swedish soccer legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic didn’t need much time to prove his “superstar” abilities, after returning back to AC Milan in a deal that was surprised by many given the 38-year-old.
The club’s long-standing fans bet that Ibrahimovic would be a great addition to the team as an experienced player, but it appears that the contributions of the “traveling striker” with Milan will go further to the kinematic aspects of the stadium as well.
Statistics prove that age is “just a number” for the Sultan, especially with regard to the distances the feat of the feat star in his matches with the refreshing Lombard team on his return.
The “surprising” statistics, which were highlighted in the newspaper “Gazeta Dello Sport”, reveal that Ibrahimovic’s running rate since joining Milan twice a month and a half ago was 8.7 kilometers per game.
This figure is equivalent to that of his 25-year-old Spanish club fellow Samo Castillo, who is known for his tireless movement and who lives his best football.
And “Ibra” ran in the last derby match against Inter Milan, 8.5 km, an average of just two km less than the “jet” of the 23-year-old Ivorian striker Frank Casey.
Within a month and a half, Ibrahimovic played 540 minutes, overcoming big players such as Lucas Piglia, who appeared on the field for 525 minutes.
